Wednesday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Harpists Vonda Darr and Carolyn Munford have enjoyed performing together for nearly 20 years. Carolyn began taking harp lessons from Vonda when she moved to Augusta, Georgia, at age 15. Thus began a mentorship and friendship that has spawned innumerable recitals, teaching projects, and ensemble collaborations over the years. Carolyn and Vonda are currently principal harpists with their respective symphonies and can often be seen performing together around the southeast. Realizing a mutual love for beautiful melodies, orchestral harp repertoire, and discovering which modern pop music sounds best on the harp, they relish every opportunity they have to play together.
Dinner will be provided at a nominal fee in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 p.m. RSVP Here just for the dinner. No RSVP needed for the concert.
