WOMEN’S MINISTRY

The Women of Christ Church support the ministry of Christ Church, Presbyterian, serving Christ by serving those within our church, our community and around the world.  Visit the “Women of Christ Church” Facebook Group.

There are various ways to become involved in this ministry.  Present opportunities include (but are not limited to):

The Council of the Women in the Church is excited about all the opportunities available for women to get to know one another,
encourage each other, and serve our congregation. Some of you are already involved in Ladies of Eight where a small group of ladies meet once a month to get to know each other better while enjoying a meal, game, or a craft. Our next groups will be established in January. Please contact Nichole Gautreaux at (706) 4014858 if you are interested in being included in a group.

Registrations are filling up for our Womens Winter Retreat February 35! We will have The Farmhouse Inn in Madison, Georgia all to ourselves as we hear teaching from Rachel Mellick on Walking in Wisdom, enjoy good food, hear encouraging testimonies and conversations and benefit from a time to be refreshed and reflect. We will return for Sunday morning worship and communion at our church. Be sure to turn your registrations in by  November 6! Questions: Contact Faye Robeson (706) 8255420.

You may remember from our Christmas dinner last year that individuals and families volunteered to provide lovely decorations for their dinner table at the Missionary Love Gift Dinner when we give offerings to share with our missionaries. If you would like to participate in this years dinner, Friday, December 2, you will need to provide the centerpiece, plates, napkins, and silverware. Please contact Faye Robeson (7068255420) to claim a table or if you have questions or need more information.

We hope that more women will join in these fellowship times, but there are also numerous ways to enjoying working together as well by providing meals for families experiencing illness, visiting shut ins, delivering flowers, assisting in decorating for once a month Sunday fellowship dinners or setting up and cleaning up for those meals, or serving on a committee that plans events and activities. It is fun to work with other ladies and get to know them in a different setting! Contact Linda Jones (7062313758) to learn more about the varied opportunities of becoming more involved with the women in our church.

Women in Prayer

In the spirit of Philippians 4:6, join ladies of Christ Church as we unite in online prayer twice weekly: Sundays 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. and Thursdays 7:30 until 8:15 p.m. (focusing on America). Contact Diane Dunsmore ([email protected]; 706-401-4146) or Maria Russell ([email protected]; 706-726-1703) to receive the online invitations.

Women of Christ Church, we will be hosting a brunch for new lady members on Saturday, August 27, from 10-12 in Covenant Hall. Whether you are a current member, new member or regular attender, please make plans to attend. This will be an opportunity to meet and formally celebrate our new lady members.

We would love to have you join us. Please click here to RSVP.

Ladies Bible Study

Ladies Bible Study — Please join us for a summer inductive Bible Study of Ephesians. We meet Friday mornings from 10—11:30 a.m. The study will run until July 29.  Childcare will be provided.

We are studying Ephesians using the book Freedom From Bondage God’s Way, by Kay Arthur. Books are available on Amazon or your favorite book retailer.

Come dig in to God’s Word with us, grow in your knowledge of Him, and enjoy fellowship with women in our church. Invite a friend or neighbor too!
